la casa editrice non esiste più dal 2024
Gli eBook sono ormai una consolidata realtà, allora MISSIONE COMPIUTA ed io guardo avanti verso nuovi obiettivi ma anche ricordando, a “futura memoria”, un po' della mia vita professionale e della impresa editoriale che ho creato e sviluppato per 28 anni, dal 1995, per introdurre l'editoria digitale in Italia. Certo, mi sarebbe piaciuto che altri volessero proseguire il mio discorso culturale ed editoriale, continuare a far vivere il mio catalogo, la mia sigla editoriale di eBook, Libri, Audiolibri, Videolibri ma si sa come è fatta l’Italia quando si rivendica la totale indipendenza, non si frequenta alcuna “terrazza”, non si vuole salire su qualche "carro". Inoltre, invece di investire, è tradizionalmente da sempre più semplice e furbo per altri "piluccare" qualcosa qua e là… come se fosse l'originale frutto della propria creatività... Quindi, ora mi dedico soltanto a scrivere, audioscrivere, videoscrivere, ad immaginare innovativi videoformat, facendo radio, tv streaming. Sempre in solitaria. A meno che non spunti chi creda e voglia seriamente investire in una editoria davvero indipendente capace di guardare sempre avanti, costantemente sensibile alle continue e stimolanti provocazioni alla nostra creatività ed intelligenza che offre lo sviluppo tecnologico. L'editoria dei libri e dei giornali non deve avere un futuro dietro le spalle ma deve sapere davvero guardare avanti, interpretando il nuovo mondo che si sta sviluppando. Senza cadere nella trappola delle nostalgie del passato ma, anzi, forte e orgogliosa di quella esperienza del secolo scorso che è la solida base su cui innestare una nuova e necessaria visione creativa e operativa. Resto, da sempre, innanzitutto un giornalista professionista, con oltre 50 anni di articolate esperienze editoriali, ed anche uno scrittore libero, indipendente, che non lesina commenti day by day, senza peli sulla lingua, su quel che accade in Italia e nel mondo.

eBooks are now an established reality, so MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, and I am looking ahead to new goals but also remembering, for “future reference,” a little of my professional life and the publishing company that I created and developed for 28 years, starting in 1995, to introduce digital publishing in Italy. Of course, I would have liked others to continue my cultural and publishing work, to keep my catalog alive, my publishing brand of eBooks, Books, Audiobooks, and Videobooks, but we all know how Italy is when it comes to claiming total independence: you don't frequent any “terraces,” you don't want to jump on any “bandwagons.” Moreover, instead of investing, it has traditionally always been easier and smarter for others to ‘pick’ something here and there... as if it were the original fruit of their own creativity... So now I devote myself solely to writing, audio writing, video writing, imagining innovative video formats, doing radio and TV streaming. Always alone. Unless someone comes along who believes in and seriously wants to invest in a truly independent publishing house that is always looking ahead, constantly sensitive to the continuous and stimulating challenges to our creativity and intelligence offered by technological development. Book and newspaper publishing must not have a future behind it, but must truly know how to look ahead, interpreting the new world that is developing. Without falling into the trap of nostalgia for the past but, on the contrary, strong and proud of that experience of the last century, which is the solid foundation on which to build a new and necessary creative and operational vision. I remain, first and foremost, a professional journalist, with over 50 years of varied editorial experience, and also a free, independent writer who does not skimp on day-to-day commentary, speaking his mind about what is happening in Italy and around the world.
